Andirons are as old as fireplaces, and styles have varied from the simply practical to the extremely ornate; however, the purpose is the same-to keep the logs in place while they burn. This set of andirons boasts a classic ball design made of solid brass. At 17 inches tall, they are not overly large so as to take up too much room in the firebox but they are tall enough to keep burning logs from rolling onto the hearth.
